Cooler Master Cosmos C700P PC Case Review

cosmos c700p

The Cooler Master Cosmos C700P PC case is a very nice and incredibly appealing looking product. It is one of the best computer cases available on the Internet today. When in front of the Cosmos C700P case there is no denying it looks awesome. The case is packaged well and comes protected in Styrofoam and a plastic bag.

The front panel port section is angled forward at the front of the top panel, and it contains power and reset buttons, four USB 3.0 ports and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port (Type-C, 10Gb/s) port, headphone and microphone jacks, and fan speed and RGB mode selectors that can be configured in several different ways .

The Cooler Master C700P is not just an upgraded Cosmos chassis with tempered glass and RGB illumination. Weighing in at a massive 48 pounds, the C700P is extremely heavy. The C700P PC case is built primarily from Steel, with a glass panel on the main side, which has been curved twice and a solid steel panel on the other side.

The C700P case is very bulky too. On the back of the case, there are eight expansion slots. The motherboard is removable for installation outside of the case.  If you are planning on internally mounting a liquid cooler in the Cooler Master C700P case, you can easily mount the liquid cooling radiator and all other parts in the the case. There is also a 140 mm fan on slotted mounts, and another set of mounting slots for the screw spacing of 120 mm fans which allow fans to be slid up or down the chassis for optimal placement of rear-panel fans. The Cooler Master C700P’s modular design allows the tray to be moved for alternative configurations, such as power supply on top or motherboard upside-down.

The Cosmos C700P case features a large glass side panel, the default layout obscures much of the interior, making the external LEDs the focus. Removing the front panel may reduce the temperature, and the temperature may further be reduced with the filter removed as well. The front of the case can support up to 360 mm and 420 mm fans, but keep in mind that the drive bays will need to be removed for depth clearance.

When it comes to the construction quality of this chassis, the Cosmos C700P offers a unique curved tempered glass side panel, strong Aluminium handles for easy handling (if you can handle the sheer mass of this chassis) and integrated RGB lighting that highlights the otherwise monochrome design of the C700P.

Pros:

  • Modern look and feel
  • Excellent Build quality
  • Built-in fan controller
  • Supports motherboards up to 12.3” deep and cards up to 19.3” long

Cons:

  • Somewhat expensive

DailyPCreviews Rating: 10/10

The Cooler Master Cosmos C700P case build quality, flexibility and features are very impressive. It pushes the boundaries hard, both in terms of the interior design of cases and the material mix and manufacturing processes. Every chassis builder, any modder, and anyone else with a stack of cash waiting for something to blow their mind, need to pay close attention to this case.
